Poem one in The Poetry of Flowers, a collection of poems compiled by Rufus W. Griswold in year 1844. I purchased this poem collection from a small antique shop in Ohio many years ago. I instantly adored the ornate, worn pages and beautiful poems.
Hymn to the Flowers, by Horace Smith, is a beautiful offering of praise to the simple flower. In a world with more questions than answers, this offering assumes a creator and claims flowers to be evidence of love to all.
